We were tasked with creating a campaign that highlighted Hot Tools’ professional grade of styling tools, aptly named Hot Tools Professional. However, with their consumer-friendly price point, the goal of the campaign was to broaden the reach of this product beyond the professional zone, and prove to the consumer that you don’t need to pay soon prices to get salon results.


Concept Statement: Stylists have spent thousands of hours curling, straightening, and blowing out every type of hair under the sun using Hot Tools. They understand what it takes to craft a great look. So when we set out to create our next generation lineup of styling tools, we brought the collective knowledge of thousands of stylists together to help engineer the perfect hair tools to use at home. Their passion led us to one big discovery: design matters.

So we asked stylists what features at-home users need….and what they don’t. The result? Tools that make styling effortless. From built-in timers that vibrate to soft touch handles that allow you to harness the highest heat, Signature Series gives you the power to create the styles you love. These are not your average hair stylers. Hot Tools Signature Series was developed by professionals, for the people. 

Finally, for the first time, you can bring home salon-quality hair stylers, expertly re-imagined for every day.

Signature Series is more than just a means for great hair. Because great hair isn’t made, it’s designed.

A Fresh Look

To reflect the launch of the innovative Signature Series line, we’ll create new, clean packaging that heroes every Hot Tools product. The goal of this packaging will be to simplify the overall look, paring down technical jargon and replacing it with consumer-friendly language.


An update in packaging will give Hot Tools Signature Series a competitive edge when it comes to standing out on shelves. A striking new look will immediately draw in the consumer’s eye, pairing sleek design with product benefits.
